The storm / Islands

Hello! Here comes my drawing in Marias climate-theme moly-book. The climate-change is frightening and storms are some of the obvious consequences. It is an image of chaos, what it would be like if the worst thing would happen...and it is happening already in different parts of the world...
Islands
My second contribution to Marias book, embroidered spots on fabric. It started when I spilled coffee by accident on the fabric and after that I made some more spots and a hole on purpose and I really enjoyed making it. Islands seen from above or some kind of bacterias fighting in an environmental war. /Lisa

This is so beautiful and it has that "macro view - micro view" feel to it. "Storms" is catastrophic in the big sense and "Islands" in the domestic environment.

The storm reminded me of the film "The Wizard of OZ", and that chaos sometimes is needed before a new idea/way of thinking can settle. So in all it´s blackness it points against HOPE.
And to the coffespot - one have to make the fabric dirty before one realise it must be cleaned...

This is a beautiful chaos! And also scarring of course.
Often the chaos situations will scare us but I think its usual to try to take controll of the chaos. It´s really intrested how we relate to the chaos situations. What is the best thing to do? Maybe it will cause a larger resistance if we try to contoll the chaos...
Of course we must do something but its not easy to know what is the right thing to do.
Right now I see a program on tv about the financecrises. It,s a mess and a chaos. But on what level? I know people who has stop shopping at all and they are scared and it´s easy to live the crises even if you can live a good life with love and food and a cutural meaning in your life.
In one way this financecrises is numbers who are just different from what we want.
I think this financecrises are like a naturelaw. It must come a crise. We must look for other values in life.
